Veterans Museum Grand Opening 2015

Safety Village Veterans Museum when it opened in 2015.

Veterans Museum (opened 2015)

This building houses a wide array of war artifacts and pays tribute to veterans. The museum is a learning center where visitors can learn about the many sacrifices made by veterans. Additionally, the museum provides each visitor with an in-depth look at how soldier’s lived during wartime.

Our objective is to promote patriotism, unity, and to leave each visitor with a lasting appreciation towards veterans and the sacrifices they’ve made. The Carpenter’s Union and various other local unions help keep the cost low by donating all of the labor. We also have the support of many veteran organizations including Military Order of the Purple Heart. This organization has agreed to house their removable memorial wall inside the Veteran’s Museum for all visitors to see. The Military Order of the Purple Heart wall contains the names and pictures of everyone who has received the Purple Heart Medal. The purpose of their memorial is to pay tribute to all military personnel who have received the Purple Heart Medal. Their memorial wall is inspiring and truly pays tribute to this special group of veterans in a significant way.

The Veterans Museum Overflowing

The Veterans Museum has received an overwhelming amount of military equipment, uniforms and pictures of veterans and their platoons.

The Tri-Town Safety Village is currently seeking funding for the building of a larger Veteran’s Museum on the property of Safety Village.  Safety Village wants this museum to be a community-spirited collaboration.

If this project is something you would like to be a part of please donate now. In fact, our 1st Veterans 5K/10K Walk/Run raised close to $5,000 for the Veterans ’Museum.

Open Tues., Thurs. and Saturday
From 9:00 am - 12:00pm
